Eali
was an orphan. She died leaving her beloved son Johny alone in the world. But a
priest in the church takes care of him. Poopalli Thomas (G. K. Pillai) was a
rich man. His daughter Omana, Johny and Baby were best friends and they studied
in same school. With the time they all grow up. Baby (Kottarakara Sridharan
Nair) became a doctor, and Johny (Satyan), a teacher in the school headed by Poopalli
Thomas.
Baby
wants to marry Omana (Padmini) and her father is happy with it. But Omana is in
love with Johny and her father strictly objects it. With the help of priest
they both got married. Johny was not able to work under Thomas and quit the job. Without a job, it became hard for johny to
look after his wife. Omana became a mother.
It
was the time of world war. The unemployed johny got work in Air force in
Burma. After few months, on a Christmas
day Omana got a telegram stating her husband is dead after a plane crash. Omana
was forced by her father to marry Baby.
It was Thomas’s last wish before death to see widowed Omana and Baby get
married.
After few months of marriage, Johny who was not dead, returns back to find Omana married again. Seeing this, Johny attempts to commit suicide. He was saved by Dr. Baby and was happy to know he is alive. Eventually he dies at hospital, seeing this Omana dies heartbroken.
